3/22/17. President Trump’S Immigration And Refugee Policy.

3/22/17 President Trump’s Immigration and Refugee Policy President Trump recently signed an executive order that restricts entry from seven Muslim majority countries into the United States. Trump’s immigration policy bans the entry of refugees into the United States for 120 days and heightens additional screening to make sure that they do not pose a threat to the security of the U.S. The order also indefinitely restricts the entrance of Syrian refugees and restricts travelers that come from seven predominantly Muslim countries including Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen entry into the United States for 90 days (Shear, Michael). This order would affect over 20,000 refugees, thousands of students nationwide, and hundreds†¦show more content†¦government and could compromise national security. This policy has implications towards foreign policy as well. For example, this could infringe upon U.S. commitments under international treaties and could cause reciprocal bans against U.S. citizens or commerce, further d estroying the relationships and alliances that the U.S. has that are required to work against terrorist and criminal organizations thus reducing national security (Brown, Theresa). President Trump’s recent executive order on immigrants and refugees has been met with much controversy across the conflicting sides. Supporters of the plan defend the order’s legality based on the federal statute U.S. Code  § 1182 (Inadmissible aliens) that allows the president to restrict the entry of â€Å"any class of aliens† into the United States (Code 1182). Others claim that this plan is beneficial because immigration can lead to economic problems and is costly. Many immigrants come to the U.S. for several years and then go back to their home country. They argue that immigrants that don’t expect to stay can have less reason to integrate culturally and economically. Furthermore, the government typically subsidizes the acquisition of useful skills and education. When people acquire these resources and then leave without utilizing them, the resources could have been better spent

Affective Environments Problem Car Parking -Myassignmenthelp.Com

Question: Discuss About The Affective Environments Problem Car Parking? Answer: Introduction: The Smart Car Parking System is consisted of two major aspects. One is development of the core system that will operate the parking area related operations. Second is the application that the users will be accessing to interact with the system. The application will be an interface to the users that will allow them to search for empty parking spaces, location of the area where car is parked, make payment, entry pass and many more. The report includes the comparison of the mobile application, web application and website. Through this comparison the best choice for the Smart Car Parking System will be selected. This comparison is will be consisted of advantages, disadvantages and application of the technology in the Smart Car Parking System environment. The work breakdown structure and in-house development alternatives has been provided into the report. Topic 1: Interfaces Advantages Disadvantages Features Applications Future scope Mobile applications Incorporation of android application in smart car parking system will enable the space allocation of the cars to be parked in a much more efficient way. The Bluetooth enabled module in the android application can help reach the destined car in the required vacant space with much more ease (Dalmasso 2013). Usually android applications are easily accessible and available to the users in their tablets and cell phones. Smart car parking models can be implemented with much more ease if mobile applications are adopted in the process. This would also ensure a cost effective approach of an effective smart car-parking model. Simpler mode of payment There lies a potential threat of the mobile applications being hacked by an intruder and accessing an individuals personal as well as car details. Reliability and stability- Best route courses on the maps with the desirable parking spots. Control system This feature involves maintaining a proper and efficient communication. This ensures that the car driver remains up-to-d ate regarding the complete car parking process and status. Simplicity- The ease of using mobile navigation parking applications is way beyond imagination. The advertisements do not block the drivers mobile screen. This is considered to be one of the key features. Mobile applications are extensively used in smart car parking in market places, airports, office premises. The advent of mobile application has its impact in almost every field of transportation such as ride sharing, safety driving and renting cars. Searching of the parking slots can be optimized with much more precision with the help of binary search. The system can be made more improvised by extending this concept multi-level car parking models. The communication system can be made more secure with the help of more efficient encryption algorithms (Polycarpou, Lambrinos, and Protopapadakis 2013). Web application Web applications are not required to be downloaded for the required purpose. Web applications are much simpler to develop compared to the mobile applications. It is observed that web application developments are much more cost effective compared to mobile application development. Web applications are found to be less known to the users as they are not displayed in the Google play stores or windows stores. Web applications are platform dependent If there is a troubleshoot problem in the website the web application is bound to become corrupt. Web applications may have restricted access. Easy testing- Web applications bolster unit testing, and their free coupling and support for reliance infusions makes it simple to swap framework worries with counterfeit usage for test purposes. Scalability- Number of the web applications can be hosted on the same sets of hardware. The feature of cloud hosting has reduced the investment in the servers. Simpler development- Easy updates can be ensured in the web applications with the help of certain tools. Microsoft azure is one such example. Web application can be useful in creating application that can run in multiple OS such as Linux and windows Recent research are undertaken for circulating server's information to decrease the server's heap. This component is expanding the necessity of aggregate insight (Oh et al. 2015). Websites Provides easy access to the cab drivers as well as the car owners. Transparent flow of information Websites require continuous internet connection for retrieving data Faster Retrieving data from websites are much faster compared to mobile applications or web application. Optimization of the search engine is one of the key feature of websites. Applications of websites is well known for all the sectors. Other than a website of smart car parking, websites for cab booking and navigation are already available. Websites can be designed in such a manner that cab can be detected with the help of cameras and in built sensors. Alternative to In-House Development: In- house process of mobile application development is much cost effective, efficient and faster. It is transparent process of application development. Quality developers may always be found to be much more effective. Apart from all the advantages, that in-house development can provide it also incorporates certain disadvantages such as risk of auditing costing (Ghazawneh and Henfridsson 2013). Alternative to this process is the need of the hour. One such alternative is outsourcing mobile application development. A company handling the development of the application is usually considered to provide quality results. Some of the advantages of outsourcing application development include minimal risk for additional cost, quality service at the specified time. This approach of mobile application will also enable the application development company to shifts its focus on the other aspect of the business development. Considering the aspect of smart car parking model, If the shire city undert akes this measure of application development this will help the company to provide ample time to improve the technology as well as the strategy of the model. Recommendations: Application for Both Android and iOS: It is crucial that The Shire city council must consider developing the mobile application for the android and iOS operating system. At present the users of the iOS device is continuously increasing while the number of Android user is stable. In such situation, the mobile application must be supported to both the aforementioned operating Systems. The interface for both the devices should be identical. This will be beneficial for increasing the usability of the application. Application Interface: The interface of the application should be user friendly and effective. The interface must contain all the information that is required. The developers must try to put section the data into different parts and put some buttons to different sections. This will not only increase the usability but allow the application to include additional features needed to make the application better. Proper Security: The system should be containing all the security measures to prevent the cyber-attacks. The attacks on the mobile devices are considerably increasing day by day. In such situation, The Shire city council can hire a third party security provider to ensure proper security. Along with the mobile application, the system must be able to prevent cyber-attacks on the servers. Including the End-Users during Project: It is a very crucial part of the project. It is assisting to make the product of utmost quality. In reality, every product is developed for the end-users and end-users must be satisfied with the product. Collecting feedback of the users on the system prototype allows the developers to create a better and effective application. Conclusion: The report concludes that the system development has been a great way to upgrade the car parking process in The Shire City. The system will be consisting of two parts that will control both the parking area operations and customer interactions. The mobile application development is the most suitable solution as it is very handy and accessible in remote location. The application will allow the users to have application related data stored in the OS already so that in case of emergency, only the data that user wants needs to be fetched form the database. Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare Essay Example For Students

Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare Essay In the book Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare, Cassius and the conspirators depicted Caesar as being ambitious. He was also said to not be ambitious by Mark Antony. He was, however, ambitious. This is because he refused the crown three times, he did not listen to the warnings that people gave him throughout the book, and he did not end the punishment he placed upon Metellus Cimbers brother, Publius Cimber. These were all acts of ambition. On the Lupercal, Mark Antony presented Caesar with a crown. Caesar then proceeded to turn down the crown three times. The reason he did this is because the crown was not the real one, but only a coronet. This is known when Casca tells Brutus and Caesar, I saw Mark Antony offer him a crown (yet twas not a crown neither; twas one of those coronets), and as I told you, he put it by once; but for all that, to my thinking, he would fain have had it. The reason that this was ambitious is because it shows that he wanted more than they offered him and that he wasnt satisfied with just that. It also shows that he feels that he is too good for it. After he turned down the crown, the people watching yelled because they wanted him to take the crown. This shows he does not listen to others. Throughout the book, Caesar received many warnings about his death. All of these warnings he refused. The Soothsayer told him to beware the Ides of March, Calphurnia told him about her dreams, the owl was seen in the capitol during the daytime, the slaves hand caught on fire, and the sky spit fire. All of these were warnings that Caesar did not listen to. He pushed away the Soothsayer and said, He is a dreamer. Let us leave him. Pass. This shows that he will not accept advice from anyone. If he does this, then he will be a tyrant. When Calphurnia told him about her dream, he did not listen to her. Instead, he listened to flattery, which he said he disliked. These shows that he was also a hypocrite and that he would only listen to or do what sounded better for him. All of these things reveal that he has a huge ego. This is ambitious because a person with a big ego will only do things that will benefit him. Before Caesar is stabbed, Metellus Cimber and the conspirators approach him and ask him to let Publius Cimber back into the kingdom. I could be well moved, if I were as you. If I could pray to move, prayers would move me. But I am as constant as the Northern Star,. He did not back down because he felt that he was right in his decision to banish Publius. He was also very stubborn and did not listen to reason. This is ambitious because he would always feel that he was right and no one else was. This is what tyrants do, and he would have also. Caesar was ambitious because he refused a crown that he felt was not good enough for him, did not listen to warnings from people, and would not back down from his decision to banish Publius. Because he did all these things, it revealed the things that he would do if he were to become king. If Caesar had become king, he would have ruled the Romans like a tyrant.
